Colin is a partner at SCF Partners and is Chairman of D2Zero. Prior to joining SCF in 2017, Colin served as Head of International Energy Investment Banking at Simmons & Company International. Colin joined Simmons in 1999 and built the firm’s activity outside of North America from its offices in Aberdeen, London and Dubai.
Bob has worked in the Energy industry throughout his entire career and prior to joining D2Zero has been CEO / Managing Director in a number of major energy service companies. Bob has extensive experience in strategic and operations management, both in the UK and internationally, and in driving business growth both organically and through acquisition.
In addition to his role as CEO of D2Zero, Bob is Executive Chairman of Hydrasun and Fuel Cell Systems and a board member of Score Group, Global E&C and Powerstar. Bob is also a Co-Chair and board member of OEUK and a member of the North East of Scotland Hydrogen Ambition Steering Committee.
Jeff is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has held a variety of roles from advisory, industry and private equity over his career. He was CEO of ITS Energy Services, an international equipment services company, and before that a partner at KPMG. He is currently the Senior Independent Director at the Net Zero Technology Centre.
Henry has over 35 years of senior executive experience in four FTSE100 groups, most recently at DCC plc, a global provider of low carbon energy to off-grid consumers, as President of their LPG division. Henry is experienced in building effective leadership teams and has a track record of creating value for stakeholders and promoting ESG principles.
Steve has over 40 years of experience in global operations leadership in the electronics and renewable energy sectors. He is the Chairman and former CEO of TPI Composites, a global wind blade manufacturer. He is also a member of the board of Tekmar Group, a leading technology and services provider to the offshore energy market.
Steve serves as an Operating Partner as SCF Partners where he supports energy transition investments and company platform building. He served for 10 years on the board of the American Wind Energy Association and helped to create the American Clean Power Association.
Adam joined SCF in 2021 and is based in Aberdeen, UK. Adam focuses on sourcing, evaluating and executing new investment opportunities in the UK and Europe whilst providing strategic support to SCF’s international portfolio. Adam is heavily involved in advancing the firms energy transition efforts. Outside of D2Zero and its constituent companies, Adam works closely with Tekmar Group to execute its strategic growth objectives in the offshore energy sector.
Adam graduated from Aberdeen Business School with a First-Class Honours in Accounting and Finance, subsequently joining Deloitte and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accounts of Scotland. Whilst at Deloitte, Adam worked in the Energy and Industrials Finance Advisory practise, providing due diligence and M&A transaction advisory services to a broad range of international energy clients. Adam held corporate development roles with high-growth international businesses prior to joining SCF.
Carlos is a Global and Transformational Executive with over 40 years experience across energy and the energy transition, leading energy and downstream businesses, focusing on sustainable growth and the integration of low-carbon technologies to decarbonise challenging sectors such as aviation, shipping, and heavy-duty transport. He boasts a distinguished 27-year career with Shell that saw him progress from General Manager to Executive Vice President, undertaking a series of pivotal roles across Shell's group commercial businesses based in the United States, Netherlands, France, United Kingdom and Singapore. Carlos has extensive experience managing joint ventures serving as director and Shell shareholder representative for ventures in the United States, Europe, Middle East and China. Carlos was responsible for the delivery of Shell’s separation from Motiva Enterprises.
Nicola brings a wealth of experience to the Group, joining us from Spirit Energy, where she was Executive Vice President, General Counsel since 2018. Prior to this, Nicola was Director, Legal, Commercial & External Relations at Maersk Oil, leading the merger and integration of Total and Maersk in the UK.
Recognised in the Energy Council’s Top Female Leaders, Nicola is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators. She has also held several non-executive roles. Nicola holds an MA in Politics, an MSc, a Law degree, and a Master of Commercial Laws.
