It’s been a whirlwind few months for D2Zero and our group companies, but the focus remains resolute and clear. We have made real progress in building a stronger, more connected group of businesses, positioned to support the evolving energy, industrial and infrastructure sectors.

Across our portfolio companies, we continue to invest in leadership, strengthen capabilities and expand the expertise that enables our businesses to deliver long-term value to customers and partners.

From strategic appointments and capability growth to market expansion and industry recognition, we are putting the pieces in place to drive real growth.

Here’s a look at some of the latest developments across D2Zero.

Nexos Group

Nexos Group continues to build momentum as it delivers against its growth strategy, bringing together the strengths of Nexos Solutions, Kelton, OSL Consulting Engineers and Powerstar to create a more integrated and scalable business.

A key milestone has been the appointment of Dan McAteer as Group CEO. Bringing more than 25 years of experience across the energy sector, Dan joins the business at an important stage of its evolution and will lead delivery of Nexos Group’s strategic ambitions as it continues expanding its presence across power, industrial and energy markets.

Alongside strengthening executive leadership, Nexos Group has continued investing in strategic capability with the appointment of Professor Steve Petrie as Head of Business Development and Strategy, supporting growth initiatives, capability expansion and market development.

The Group has also strengthened commercial and communications functions with the appointments of Jennifer Shanks as Group Head of Marketing and Communications and Peter Cross as Head of Business Development and Sales, reinforcing the leadership capability required to support continued growth.

During this time Nexos Group’s leaders have maintained a strong presence across industry events, most notably COO Derek Thomson’s appearance at All-Energy in Glasgow as part of the Oil & Gas for Renewable Delivery: Mobilising Skills, Assets and Confidence for 2030 session.

Hydrasun

Hydrasun has continued to strengthen its market position during the first part of 2026, securing new project activity and building momentum across multiple business areas.

Now in its 50th year, the business has seen continued demand for its specialist fluid transfer, control and instrumentation capabilities, alongside further growth across subsea and offshore project activity in key international markets.

Following the expansion of Hydrasun’s broader organisational offering, it has also continued to secure opportunities across a diverse range of industrial sectors, reflecting the benefits of an increasingly integrated capability base and strengthening market presence.

And there will be much more to come from Hydrasun in the coming months as the company celebrates half a century of delivering energy excellence for sectors across the globe.

Score Group

Score Group has continued strengthening its position across energy transition and industrial markets through industry engagement, technical innovation and business growth.

Teams from across Score have been actively engaging with industry forums and events focused on emissions reduction, hydrogen infrastructure and offshore wind development.

BLJ In-situ Solutions, a Score company, recently celebrated 21 years in business, marking more than two decades of delivering specialist machining and maintenance services across Australia.

Since joining the wider Score organisation, BLJ’s expertise has further strengthened the Group’s technical capability and regional presence.

Meanwhile, HycAero, Score’s aerospace coatings specialist business, achieved an important quality milestone, securing Nadcap Gold Merit status across all five accredited special processes.

The achievement reflects sustained operational excellence and reinforces HycAero’s position as a trusted specialist partner within the aerospace supply chain.

Score also continued its support for future talent development through sponsorship of the Inspiring Futures category at the Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce Northern Star Business Awards, recognising organisations helping create pathways between education and employment.
